Nearview Security is a security patrolling company founded by John Thomas in 2020. John Thomas is a Millsaps Campus Safety Officer who has over a decade of expereince in secuirty management and was born in Midtown. The Nearview Security Team began working with Nearview Security in 2021 to design a business plan to help start a security business that would benefit Midtown. In addition, the ELSEWORKS team completed a successful GoFundMe campaign to raise money to buy Nearview Security a truck to patrol Midtown. This year, the ELSEWORKS team is partnering with Nearview Security to cultivate new expansion opportunities as well as assisting with financial practices.

The BAM team is a standing team that works closely with The Business Association of Midtown (BAM) to support businesses in the Midtown neighborhood. The team dedicates time to creating content and promoting events and stories about the powerful entrepreneurial spirit of the community. BAM hosts two major events during the year and the analyst team works to support these events. Holiday Studio Tour is an event held in the winter with businesses and studios in the Midtown neighborhood opening their doors to the public for special tours. Midfest in May is a street festival with Midtown businesses and vendors from around the city participating, along with food and musical acts. The EW BAM team also maintains the BAM website, including member features and posting events and news.

UMMC Telehealth is one of two federally recognized Centers of Excellence in the United States. UMMC’s Telehealth program is designated as a Center of Excellence for Telehealth by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) that comes with federal funds to implement innovative Telehealth programs throughout the country. UMMC’s Telehealth program has an active portfolio of 30-40 projects. UMMC has engaged ELSEWORKS to provide an internal evaluation of their processes related to projects.

BRIX is a new devlopment next door to the Midtown Depot in the old Lucky Town Brewing facility that will offer craft rum and rum-based cocktails. BRIX is a passion project created by Trey Malone, an entrepeneur in Midtown who is also the CEO of Northshore Specialty Coffee. Trey plans to create Jackson's first rum distllery using locally sourced sugar cane. The BRIX building plans include a bar that features rum, rum based cocktails and locally sourced beer, as well as space for Northshore Specialty Coffee The BRIX team will assist in the development of a business plan and capital budget for the distillery.

 Red Squared Communications Design specializes in telling organizations' stories through branding, design, film, and motion graphics. Red Squared is capable of producing a wide array of content for any type of production, event, or screen. The Red Squared team is currenlty assisting in the development of a business plan and financial proformas to build Jackson's only operating commerical sound stage in a vast, rehabilitated warehouse space know as the Hangar in Midtown, which is owned by CEO Roderick Red.

Mississippi Cold Drip Coffee and Tea Company originated in 2010 as a cottage food product sold at farmer’s markets across the state. As demand increased, Mississippi Cold Drip partnered with ELSEWORKS and opened a space in the Hatch, a business incubator in the Midtown neighborhood of Jackson, MS. Raymond Horn, MSCD founder, and his partner, former ELSEWORKS Business Analyst Jon Peterson, have expanded the business from farmers markets to grocery stores across the Southeast. MSCD offers cold brew concentrates, a sweetener, and Chai tea concentrate at their online store, Kroger, and Whole Foods. ELSEWORKS analysts will continue to support MSCD by working on recommendations for a product line extension, product demos and supporting MSCD on other business endeavors.

Modular Housing is a startup focused on reinventing the way we imagine simple living. The business has created a foldable, stackable, and transportable prototype – currently under construction in Midtown Jackson. The product will target those looking for a lower cost, move-in-ready housing solution. The EW Modular Housing team focussed on developing a B2B marketing strategy for merchant builders or developers as well as a B2C marketing strategy for accessory dwellings. The team also assisted in the creation of a product name for the business, which will be introduced soon!

NOSH Specialty Foods is a local Jackson company that creates and delivers fully prepared, oven-ready artisanal dinners each week with a healthy focus on flavor and authenticity. After many years in the restaurant industry, and with a lifelong passion for fine food & entertaining, Chef Nick Couch’s vision for NOSH Specialty Foods is to meet the demands of a changing world and its customer’s busy lifestyles. NOSH is located in the Hatch--a business incubator in the Midtown neighborhood. The EW NOSH team worked with Chef Nick to analyze the competitive landscape and provide recommendations for product line, promotion, and website improvement.

Jackson Writer’s Collective is a new organization devoted to providing low-cost resources to aspiring writers. Featuring writing workshops, gathering spaces, and one-on-one assistance, Anthology seeks to add to the literary history that makes Mississippi unique. ELSEWORKS began working with its founders - Millsaps graduates - in late 2021 to develop a business plan. This project will continue well into 2022 and 2023.

The mosaic plans to be an interactive, outdoor, community-focused art park that will adjoin the Midtown Depot and Brix Rum Distillery, serving as a link between the two spaces. Offering a safe and interactive space for Midtown residents and those outside the community to come together. Midtown Mosaic will feature an expanisve green space for a children's playground, seating, shading, and murals and placards that highlight the past, present, and future direction of the neighborhood. This year, the ELSEWORKS team is working with Midtown Partners Inc. to establish the Midtown Mosaic as a nonprofit and planning for a benefit concert to kickstart fundraising for this project.

Magnolia Medical Foundation (MMF) is a community-based organization that provides preventive health services and capacity building to individuals and communities throughout Mississippi. MMF’s vision is to serve as a quality and assurance resource that addresses the social and environmental determinants of health. MMF strives to provide excellent customer relations, top-tier and compassionate services, and a cost-effective preventive health plan that will improve health outcomes and ultimately begin “Building Bridges to a Better Quality of Life.” Magnolia Medical has 5 offices, including one in Midtown on Fortification Street. The MMF team is rebulding the website on a new and more user-friendly platorm.
