Preserve has shifted its focus to community development, with a primary emphasis on the revitalization of Benjamin Brown Park in Midtown. This initiative aims to create a vibrant community space that incorporates innovative features like skate parks with green infrastructure. Preserve is a collaboration between Jina Daniels, Midtown Partners, and ELSEWORKS to drive sustainable development in the Midtown neighborhood.

This semester, the team worked closely with Jina Daniels and Midtown Partners to research skate parks with integrated green infrastructure. Additionally, the team supported Jina by conducting financial research and cost analysis to aid in securing an EPA grant for the park’s development.

The next phase involves continuing to support the development of Benjamin Brown Park while shifting focus to the Midtown Housing Project. This initiative, led by Midtown Partners and ELSEWORKS, aims to promote homeownership in Midtown by assessing vacant lots and creating strategies for residential development.
